Dunquin, signifying “Caon’s fortress”, is a Gaeltacht town in west County Kerry, Ireland. Dunquin lies at the most westerly tip of the Dingle Peninsula, neglecting the Blasket Islands. At 10°27’16″W, it is the most westerly settlement of Ireland. Close by Dunmore Head is the most westerly purpose of terrain Ireland. The town is connected to Dingle by means of the R559 provincial street.
