Close to the northern finish of Patagonia lies Neuquén territory, home to the snow-clad mountain in our picture. This stratovolcano is such an eminent territorial image that both the area’s banner and ensign highlight it noticeably. Lanín well of lava ascends over Lanín National Park and its scene of woodlands, lakes, and streams. Some tree species in the recreation center’s calm timberlands are supposed to be discovered no place else in Argentina. Waterways and streams slice through the territory, and a few huge lakes make extraordinary reflecting pools for Lanín top. On the opposite side of the mountain is more Andean wonder—Villarrica National Park is right over the outskirt in Chile.
